How Razz Aquatics Started
Every tank tells a story. Ours started with a kid, a guppy tank, and a lot of time during a pandemic.
I kept guppies as a kid — like a lot of people who end up deep in the hobby. Life moved on, but the interest never really went away. When COVID hit and everything slowed down, I set up one tank to fill the time. One tank became three. Three became ten. Ten became over a hundred.
What started as a way to stay busy during the pandemic turned into something I couldn’t stop thinking about. I got serious about the livestock I was keeping, the water quality, the health of every animal before it left my hands. I started importing and quarantining livestock — holding every animal and observing it before it was ever offered for sale. What started as a hobby turned into a process built around patience, not rushing livestock out the door. Fish are quarantined for a minimum of two weeks and treated with medication when needed. Shrimp are held for about a month after import, giving them time to settle in and complete at least one successful molt before they are offered for sale. That process became the foundation of Razz Aquatics.
My wife and I run this together. It’s a real family operation — we pack every order ourselves, we answer every question ourselves, and we stand behind every shipment we send. Our focus is freshwater shrimp, nano fish, snails, and aquarium plants. We keep over 100 dedicated aquariums on-site, with each species in its own tank rather than crowded holding systems.
The goal has always been the same: deliver healthy, high-quality livestock with the kind of service we’d want if we were the customer.
Healthy Livestock, Carefully Sourced
Every animal we ship is carefully sourced, quarantined, and health-checked before it is offered for sale. We also carry aquarium plants, botanicals, and supplies chosen for freshwater hobbyists.
What Sets Us Apart
We’re not a warehouse operation. Every decision we make is about the health of the livestock and the confidence of the customer.
Some sellers move livestock quickly. We don’t. Fish are quarantined for a minimum of two weeks and treated with medication when needed. Shrimp are held for about a month after import — long enough for at least one successful molt. We don’t ship anything we wouldn’t put in our own tanks.

Why Our Process Matters
The scale behind Razz Aquatics helps us quarantine properly, pack carefully, and ship with confidence. The difference is simple: we do not rush new arrivals out the door.
Every fish we sell is quarantined for at least two weeks. If any animal shows signs of illness or stress, it stays here — treated when needed and observed until it is genuinely healthy.
Shrimp are quarantined for about a month after import. We wait for at least one successful molt, which tells us they have settled in before being offered for sale.
Orders are packed with insulated boxes and heat or cold packs matched to weather conditions along your route. Livestock ships Monday through Thursday — we never ship into a weekend.
