What water parameters do they need?
They do best in pH 6.8-7.5, GH 6-8, KH 2-4, and temperature 68-76F. Most tap water works well once dechlorinated.
Can I mix different Neocaridina colors?
You can, but offspring will gradually revert toward a wild brownish color over generations. For best results, keep one color variant per tank.
How many should I start with?
We recommend starting with at least 10 shrimp to establish a healthy, breeding colony. Breeder packs of 10-20 are the most popular choice.
Are they safe with fish?
Peaceful nano fish like ember tetras, chili rasboras, and otocinclus make good tank mates. Avoid fish that are nippy or large enough to eat shrimp.
