Quick Answers

How much should I feed my shrimp and fish?
Feed small amounts once or twice daily — only what your fish and shrimp can consume in two to three minutes. Overfeeding is one of the most common causes of poor water quality in home aquariums. Remove any uneaten food after a few hours to protect your parameters.
Why sinking foods instead of floating?
Shrimp, corydoras, plecos, and most bottom feeders cannot reach floating food before it dissolves and pollutes the water. Sinking wafers and pellets deliver nutrition directly to the animals that need it, reduce waste, and keep water cleaner.
What do freshwater shrimp eat?
Shrimp are omnivorous scavengers that naturally graze on biofilm, algae, and decaying organic matter. In an aquarium they benefit from supplemental feeding with sinking shrimp-specific foods, blanched vegetables, and algae wafers. Variety supports color and breeding activity.
Are these foods safe for planted tanks and invertebrates?
Yes. All foods in this collection are selected to be safe for planted freshwater aquariums and invertebrates including shrimp and snails. Always check copper content — some fish foods contain copper sulfate, which is toxic to shrimp and invertebrates at elevated levels. We note this where relevant on individual product pages.

About This Collection

Fish Food

Feeding your freshwater aquarium residents well is one of the most overlooked parts of keeping a healthy tank. The right food supports color, growth, immune function, and natural foraging behavior — and the wrong food (or overfeeding) is one of the most common causes of water quality issues. We carry sinking wafers, micro pellets, fry starter foods, and shrimp-specific diets formulated for the species hobbyists actually keep. Sinking foods are important for bottom feeders and shrimp — floating foods often go uneaten and foul the water before they reach the inhabitants that need them. Micro pellets and small-particle foods are essential for nano fish and fry, whose mouths are too small for standard pellet sizes. All foods in this collection are aquarium-safe and selected for freshwater community tanks, shrimp setups, and planted aquariums. Feed small amounts once or twice daily — only what your fish and shrimp can consume in two to three minutes. Remove uneaten food promptly to protect water quality. Foods ship Monday through Thursday alongside livestock and plants.
