Hikari Micro Pellets are semi-floating, micro-coated granules developed for tetras, rasboras, danios, CPDs, guppies, and other small-mouthed tropical fish. Each pellet features a unique micro-coating that locks in nutrients and prevents water clouding — a common problem with standard flake foods. The premium marine and vegetable protein mix supports larger energy reserves for small-bodied fish.
A balanced blend of krill and spirulina promotes vivid, natural coloration. The precisely colored granules are highly visible underwater, improving acceptance and reducing uneaten food. The softer texture is well-suited for small community fish and provides easy digestibility. An excellent staple food for nano fish orders from Razz Aquatics paired with any new livestock.

Why It Works
Product Highlights
01
43% Crude Protein with Krill & Spirulina
Premium marine and vegetable protein mix with krill and spirulina for vivid coloration and the larger energy reserves small-bodied tropical fish require.
02
Micro-Coated, Won’t Cloud Water
Hikari’s unique micro-coating locks in nutrition and eliminates the water clouding common with flake foods, keeping the tank clean between water changes.
03
Sized for Small-Mouthed Fish
The small pellet size is ideal for tetras, rasboras, CPDs, and other fish that cannot consume standard-sized pellets or flake food comfortably.
How to Use
Feeding Instructions
Feed 2–3 times daily — the amount your fish will completely consume in a few minutes. Drop the pellets into the aquarium and observe: if food reaches the bottom uneaten, reduce the amount at the next feeding.
Avoid overfeeding as excess food degrades water quality rapidly in smaller tanks. Remove any uneaten pellets after the feeding period. Store in a cool, dry place with the container tightly sealed between feedings.
Feeding Guide
Feed small amounts 3–4 times per week
Remove uneaten food within 24 hours
Observe shrimp — adjust quantity if food disappears quickly
Supplement with blanched vegetables 1–2× per week
Pairs Well With
Complete Their Feeding Routine

What is the guaranteed analysis?+
Crude Protein: 43% min. Crude Fat: 7% min. Crude Fiber: 7% max. Moisture: 10% max. Ash: 17% max. Phosphorus: 1.1% min.
What is the free shipping threshold?+
Free shipping on plants and dry goods at $75+.
Do these float or sink?+
They are semi-floating — they float briefly and then slowly sink, giving fish at all water levels a chance to feed. This makes them well-suited for both surface feeders and mid-water swimmers.
Can I use these for shrimp too?+
Shrimp will opportunistically eat micro pellets that reach the substrate. These are primarily designed for small fish, but shrimp will graze on any pellets that settle near them.
How is it shipped?+
Packed securely and shipped Monday through Thursday via standard ground shipping. Plants and dry goods ship free at $75+. Transit times vary by location.
Can I order this with livestock?+
Yes. Dry goods can ship together with livestock orders.
