Weeping Moss (Vesicularia ferriei 'Weeping') has a distinctive drooping, pendant growth pattern where fronds arch downward like a weeping willow rather than spreading horizontally or growing upright. This product is a pre-grown moss mat — Weeping Moss attached to a flexible stainless-mesh panel, ready to drop into the tank as an instant moss-covered surface.
The weeping growth form is most dramatic when attached vertically to hardscape — the pendant fronds hang naturally and create a curtain-like effect. It can also be laid flat on substrate. Same easy care as other aquatic mosses; no CO2 or fertilizer required.
Care Notes
Weeping Moss Mat grows under low to medium light without CO2 or fertilizer. Place flat on substrate, attach vertically to a flat rock or piece of driftwood to show off the pendant growth, or secure to glass or hardscape with aquarium-safe methods. Avoid burying the mat — moss is an epiphyte.
Trim the outer fronds regularly to keep inner growth healthy. Trimmings can be attached to additional hardscape to expand coverage.
