About This Collection
Snails
Freshwater snails are one of the most underrated parts of a well-kept aquarium. They're peaceful, hardy, and genuinely useful — many are natural algae grazers and substrate cleaners that contribute to tank health without any effort on your part. Our snail collection covers three main types. Nerite snails are the go-to for algae control: they're excellent workers and cannot reproduce in freshwater — making them one of the few snails you can add without worrying about population creep. Mystery snails are colorful and popular, available in gold, blue, ivory, black, jade, and more. They breed in freshwater but at a slow and manageable pace. Rabbit snails are a specialty highlight — long-lived, striking in appearance, and very slow to breed. Varieties like the Giant Orange Rabbit, Chocolate Rabbit, and Triangle Rabbit Snail are favorites among hobbyists who keep them as display animals as much as cleanup crew. All snails are covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee and ship Monday through Thursday in insulated packaging.
