Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Green' is the classic green-form wendtii — a hardy, mid-sized rosette plant with broad, slightly undulating olive-green leaves on relatively long stems. It is one of the most widely grown and adaptable Crypts in the hobby, and a solid choice for aquascapers who want reliable midground greenery without demanding care.
Like all Crypts, 'Green' grows under low to medium light without CO2 and tolerates a wide range of water parameters. Slow-growing once established, it rewards patience and minimal disturbance with a steady, dependable mound of broad green foliage.

Crypt wendtii 'Green' roots in substrate. Plant with the crown (where the leaves meet the roots) ABOVE the substrate. Burying the crown causes rot. Root tabs help significantly — Crypts are heavy root feeders.
Crypts can melt after a parameter change or transplant — leaves yellow and dissolve, but the roots stay alive. Leave the plant in place and it usually regrows from the rhizome over a few weeks. Avoid moving Crypts once they are settled.
